The National Bar has retained the original style of the 1870s and exudes the engaging charm of the turn of the century. People say it's the loveliest bar in town.

Café César

The Café César, our coffee shop with a bistro feel under the direction of Walter Gisler, is a place where hotel guests and friendly, easy-going locals meet up to start their day in style. Padrino

The Restaurant Padrino (14 Gault-Millau points), with its wide range of delicious Italian specialities, is a favourite meeting place for businesspeople. Restaurant 1871

The Restaurant 1871 attracts guests with its simple décor and light, seasonal menus: eat, drink and simply be. It is one of the most precious memories of the early days of the Grand Hotel National. “Refined yet simple cooking using only the very best ingredients“; with this culinary philosophy, you are sure to be seduced by the fare on offer here. Roger Widmer and his team are also renowned for the extensive drinks menus offering wine, grappa, coffee and tea. The summer lounge, open from April, offers you the chance to enjoy wonderful evenings overlooking the lake and Mount Pilatus.
